GATE ME Exam Question Paper Analysis 2022: Check the Difficulty Level

The GATE 2022 ME exam is conducted by IIT Kharagpur in two shifts - Morning and Afternoon. By analyzing the question paper, students can evaluate their performance on the Mechanical paper.

1. GATE ME 2022 Analysis Shift I
The GATE Mechanical Paper 2022 Shift I will be held in the morning session, i.e., (9.00 am - 12.00 pm). From a total of 65 questions, there are 25 MCQs, 5 MSQs, and 35 NAT questions. The difficulty of the GATE ME paper was Moderate to Tough. All of the Multiple Select Questions were theoretical type.
- The General Aptitude question was Easy.
- Engineering Mathematics section was Moderate.
- Manufacturing Engineering & Heat Transfer had the highest mark weightage.

2. GATE ME 2022 Analysis Shift II
The GATE Mechanical Paper 2022 Shift II will be held in the afternoon session. From a total of 65 questions, there are 35 MCQs, 6 MSQs, and 24 NAT questions. The overall difficulty of the afternoon GATE ME paper was Moderate to Tough.
- The General Aptitude question was Easy.
- Engineering Mathematics section was Moderate.
- Engineering Mechanics, SOM, Industrial, Manufacturing & HMT had the maximum weightage.
- Three questions were asked from the power plant topic. Application-based questions were easy.
